Indoor training can be a wonderful way to work on very specific parts of your riding, be it (pedaling) technique, basic fitness, peak power, or threshold. From as little as a specific session repeated once a week for a month can see significant improvement.
It also gives you the opportunity to train safely with friends (making the sessions fun!) and, for the competitive riders, explore optimum warm up routines.
When the weather dictates we can’t ride outdoors, there’s always something we can do on the bike indoors & ensure we don’t lose fitness and in fact, have the opportunity to improve our fitness.
For the more adventurous, there are plenty of online virtual training platforms offering interesting / challenging routes, group rides or, for the super competitive – races! My indoor sessions can walk you through all the options and requirements so that you’re fully equipped for whatever ‘ dry ride’ you choose.
Training indoors also ensures we don’t have to clean our bikes after a ride in the rain!
