‘Off the bike’ advice eg: Performance Planning & Nutrition

Performance Planning – dive into the world of a performance lifestyle. It’s not just the content of the training sessions…. Establish sustainable off-the-bike routines eg stretching & / or gym exercises & understand more about fuelling & Nutrition. Learn what to eat, how much, and when for pre/during/post exercise.

Doing the right sessions at the right time, in the right way will undoubtedly significantly contribute to goal achievement. But a good session can be a great session if it’s supported by the right fuelling strategy (eg carbs for endurance, protein for catabolic gym session, and hydration in times of heavy sweat loss), the right recovery procedures, and plenty of sleep.

Couple this with some powerful sports psychology tools & consistent repetition of ‘great’ sessions can become the norm. Even an easy session, for it to be of the best possible benefit, needs to be executed correctly. Make all the supporting ‘stuff’ second nature and create great habits.
