Power Profiling

Establish your own ‘Power Profile’ & understand how to improve it. What are your strengths and weaknesses, what are your threshold and peak numbers?

If you’re using a power meter or indoor smart trainer, have a power profile test then get the most out of your sessions.

A Power Profile Test requires you to do some maximal efforts over various durations & in doing so identify numbers for Peak (neuromuscular), Aerobic Capacity & Anaerobic Capacity. It will also give some indication of the type of rider you are / could be (eg sprinter, climber, all-rounder, etc) and where your strengths/weaknesses currently are. This data can then be vital in prescribing very specific workouts to address specific areas of your performance.
